Date : 4 July (MATs and Dioceses)

For MAT Leaders (CEOs and Chairs of Board) and Diocese Education Teams
At Church House Westminster
At 10.30-3.30

Keynote Speakers
Baroness Barran (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for the School System)
Dominic Herrington (National Schools Commissioner)
The event will also feature input from a range of other high-profile educational leaders from across the system, including Professor Sam Twiselton, Professor Paul Miller, Kathryn Morgan, Angie Browne, Liz Barratt and Aleishia Lewis.

This event is focused on developing our national relationship with local education leaders in relation to 3 key aspects following the release of the Education White Paper:

  1. Strategic commitment to the Church of England/CES NPQ programmes as part of a strategic career pathway for your MAT/schools over the next 3-5 years
  2. Access to a new suite of professional development materials which complement the NPQ frameworks (including materials specific to church school leadership, and a range of key other leadership development areas – including the opportunity to partner in a major new funded opportunity in relation EDI and anti-racism in schools) – this suite will be at no cost to MATs committing to this partnership work with us
  3. Opportunity to access national policy briefing from senior figures to understand strategic direction in relation to academisation, strong Trusts, governance and the key role that the Church of England/CES have to play at a national and local level in relation to the changing landscape that will quickly emerge as the White Paper is implemented.

There will be input from senior executive and governance leaders from both churches, and will be a crucial opportunity to engage together in this important moment of opportunity in the education sector. There will also be time built into the day for the important local and regional conversations between strategic leaders from MATs and Dioceses to respond to what is shared.

We would be delighted to welcome you as MAT CEO and would highly recommend that you come with the Chair of the MAT Board in order to have the best strategic engagement. We hope that all MATs involving Church of England schools and Catholic schools will join us for this important event.
