Redhill Teaching Hub

Sally Barfoot and I am the Director of the Redhill Teaching Hub.

Who is the best first point of contact?

You can email Laura Canlin at npq@redhillhub.org.uk or phone 07831 324 490

What is your favourite thing about the NPQs?

NPQs are a great personal and professional development opportunity and a fantastic space for meeting and networking with like-minded people from different context and settings who are on a similar career path.

Tell us a little bit about you as an organisation

We are a small friendly team of teachers, school leaders and operation managers based at the Redhill Academy Trust Central offices in Nottinghamshire. We walk in close partnership with three local MATs to deliver the golden thread of teacher development, including NPQs. We love what we do and are driven by a desire to support effective leadership development in our schools, improve social mobility in our region and provide the best PD possible for teachers and leaders.

Why did you choose to be a partner with Church of England
and Catholic Education Office?

We like the shared ethos around not just providing a qualification but genuinely supporting participants to develop through quality facilitation and coaching, networking, opportunities and a high-quality design interpretation of the NPQ framework. But also, we love the people involved at every level of the organisation.

Which NPQs do you offer?

We offer the full suite of NPQs.

We are running all of the NPQs. Currently, we are recruiting to cohort 6 and running 5,4 and 3.

Which Cohort are you running?

Cohort 5 will run for NPQH and Cohort 6 will be NPQSL, NPQLBC, NPQLTD, NPQLT, NPQLPM

Where will your learning take place?

Mostly at Redhill Training Centre in Arnold and Flying High HQ in Chilwell

Is there anything you would like to say to somebody
who's considering an NPQ?

Do it! We have positive feedback from all the programmes. I've yet to speak to anyone who hasn't got something positive out of the NPQs they have done.
