Why did you choose CofE as a provider?

I work at a Church of England school & the values that underpin a church of England school are something close to my heart as someone who grew up in the church. Our schools are very unique in their core values, we have the school's values but also with Christian values too.

What’s been the best thing about your NPQ so far

It's been really important for me that It's bespoke to me! Talking to everyone that's been involved with the course, it's really encouraged me to think about it in my own context which then encourages me to take what I’ve learned back to my school and give it a go! I feel like I’ve been supported really well by all of the providers

What Impact is the NPQ making on your role?

It's started to make me think more about the development of teachers, I am doing the NPQLTD so we're talking about leading teacher development across the school and everything teachers need to support their careers and what i can do to help them! Personally i feel like I'm ready for the next step in my career and it's making me think about what I need in order to help others! It's helping me to see the needs of my school and what I can do to implement it.

What message would you give someone considering an NPQ with CofE?

I'd say, GO FOR IT! I've got so much out of it and It’s helped me so much to think forwards in my career. If you're in a position that you want to develop in yourself it's certainly something I would go for. If I could give a message to my younger self, I’d say to do it sooner and not let your anxiety and worries hold you back
